Darling Jimenez attended Columbia University and graduated in 2012 with a degree in History and Computer Science. During her years at Columbia, her primary focus was on web design, event planning, and social media. As an intern at the United Nations Association, she researched and redesigned website pages while contributing to daily social media feeds and blogs. Following her passion in social media and design, Darling proceeded to intern at the Asia Society, where her primary role consisted of assisting the senior web developer with building websites and developing content through blogging.
Darling went on to use her technical skills to help launch an old restaurant in a way that was appealing to a younger demographic. She managed the social media strategy and redesigned the website and restaurant documents with a more modern look. Additionally, she assisted the public relations manager in fostering a positive relationship with surrounding retail stores and hotels for customer referrals. Most importantly, she became an effective manager of the restaurant's brand image, boosting sales and re-branding the restaurant.
