NEW ways to improve your emails

Sep 8, 2018 10:00:00 AM

Email marketing is hard but rewarding (if you do it right.) Use these 4 tips to improve your emails:

Write your own preview text.

  • Otherwise, it's just the first 50 characters of the email – write it yourself (in <50 characters) to succinctly describe your offer where recipients can’t miss it

Add alt text to images, including CTAs.

  • Many email clients block images, so use actionable alt text to act as a text CTA and tell recipients where to click without images

Hyperlink images.

  • Images attract more attention than text, so increase clickthrough rates by hyperlinking images (like your ebook cover image) to their corresponding landing pages

Clean up your contact list.

  • Inactive subscribers kill your open and clickthrough rates, so exclude recipients who haven't opened a certain number of emails

By paying attention to the little details that go into an email, you can increase your open and clickthrough rates to generate more leads.
