Make your website a lead generation tool

Is your website generating leads? Most business owners that we speak to have the same complaint about their website: it doesn’t generate leads.

Just as baking a cake isn't rocket science, neither is creating a website. However, there's a huge difference between a mediocre cake/website and a fabulous cake/website. According to Cooking Light, “A cake is essentially a chemistry experiment—a series of ingredients mixed in a specific order to cause reactions that produce specific effects.” Conversely, a website is an experiment in human psychology, and our job is to cause specific emotions and reactions.

As a former website designer, I can tell you first-hand that pretty websites are useless unless you are getting leads from them. As a marketing expert, I can tell you that there is a gigantic difference between getting leads and getting qualified leads.

If you are not getting the volume or quality of leads from your website that you think you should be, download our eBook, 12 ways to improve your website.  Without ruining the plot, pay particular attention to the following:

  • Talk about the problems you solve and not what you sell
  • Add a blog
  • Add calls-to-action
  • Make sure  you convey trust

 

The one thing that we didn’t include in our eBook is that fact that having a differentiator is crucial to all of your marketing and sales efforts. Make sure that you have a WOW (why they should choose you) on your website.
