Don't leave Facebook ... just update your privacy settings

Mar 31, 2018 9:53:00 AM

Online privacy is a hot topic since Mark Zuckerberg let Cambridge Analytica steal your Facebook data.

Here’s how to set up privacy settings on your Facebook Business page.

Posting ability and visibility

  • Only you can post
  • Anyone can post
  • Anyone can post, but you choose posts visitors can see

  • Prevent certain countries and ages from seeing your page
  • If applicable, use the “alcohol-related” option to restrict your page to those of legal drinking age in their countries (P.S. – Facebook monitors this)

  • Restrict keywords (usually to block spam or trolls)
  • Block profanity

Zuckerberg made a mistake with Cambridge Analytica, but don't jump ship on Facebook yet – your current and future customers are still using it.
