Think like a bloodhound and track these numbers

Nov 30, 2016 4:33:00 PM

Many business owners only track the number of prospects and new customers. While these are important, they aren't the only numbers you need to know.

You should also track:

  • Number of active prospects
  • Number of free reports distributed
  • Prospects generated
  • Appointments made
  • Web visitors
  • PR mentions
  • Referrals gained
  • Business cards collected
  • Workshops presented
  • Testimonials received
  • Organic signups to your mailing list
  • Unsubscribes

Each marketing statistic helps answer the “Are we effectively reaching our target market?” question  and if you don't analyze the right numbers, you won't know the correct answer.

When you're tracking everything related to your marketing efforts, you can set better goals that you're more likely to meet (because they're actually realistic). Then, sit back and wait for new business!
