Several SEO tactics, however, ARE dead.

• Going crazy in link building – it’s quality over quantity now
• Being obsessed with ranking #1 – that spot doesn’t guarantee increased web traffic anymore
• Over-optimizing for a keyword – keywords aren’t as important as the intent behind them
• Forgetting about the people – ultimately, you’re optimizing for searchers, not search engines

But since 93% of searches start on a search engine, SEO isn’t dead, or even dying.

It’s reincarnating.
